On August 1–2, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Indecis Artist-Run (Bastion 3, 1 Hector Street) will host Sit+Read POP—UP Fair, an event dedicated to independent creative practices that brings together local artists, designers, and makers in a setting designed for encounter, dialogue, and exchange.

Conceived as a platform for presenting and discovering independent practices, the fair brings together independent publications, artist-made objects, and a wide range of visual expressions. Participants include creators developing original projects and producing small-batch or one-of-a-kind works, ranging from illustration, photography, and artist books to zines, prints, ceramics, handmade jewelry, upcycled objects, printed textiles, accessories, and other forms of contemporary independent production.

Sit+Read POP—UP Fair offers a meeting point for creators and audiences, providing a context for presenting personal projects, engaging directly with visitors, and supporting Timișoara’s local creative scene.

On the first day of the event, August 1, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., the workshop making zines: PLANTS+PRINT will also take place. Dedicated to DIY publishing and experimental printmaking techniques, the workshop invites participants to work with plants, textures, and images while experimenting with collage, drawing, stencil, photocopying, and other reproduction methods to create a zine inspired by the plant world. Open to participants of all experience levels, the workshop includes all necessary materials. Participation is limited to 10 attendees, with a recommended donation of 100 RON.

The event is organized by the La Figurat Association, in partnership with The Secret Garden, Indecis Artist-Run, Local Design Circle, Paper Traffic, and the Faculty of Arts and Design, West University of Timișoara. The project is funded by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Timișoara Project Center.
