“Tescani Residence 2023 – 2024” at the Palace of Culture in Iasi

The Art Museum within the National Museum Complex “Moldova” Iași organizes, at the Palace of Culture in Iași, between October 10 and November 5, 2024, the exhibition of the international creative camp “Tescani Residence 2023 – 2024.” This project was initiated and developed by the visual artist Ovidiu Ungureanu in partnership with the “George Enescu” National Museum, Dumitru and Alice Rosetti Tescanu—George Enescu” Section, Tescani (Bacău county).

The exhibition brings together works created during the two editions of the Residence, signed by the artists: Ilie Boca, Gheorghe Lungu, Dionis Pușcuță, Gabriela Culic, Valeriu Șușnea, Valentina Druțu, Dalina Bădescu, Dumitru Macovei, Dan Gherman, Sorin Scurtulescu, Ciprian Bodea, Florina Breazu, Anca Mihăilă, Sorin Otînjac, Mihail Gavril, Ovidiu Ionescu, Daniela Grapa, Mariana Constantinescu, Ruslan Roșca, Ovidiu Ungureanu, Mihai Damian, Sergiu Grapa, Suly Bornstein Wolff, Luminița Radu, Florin Șuțu, Florentin Sîrbu, Lelia Rus Pîrvan, Ana -Maria Ceară, Cristina Tudorache, Mihai Chiuaru, Elena Lupașcu, Bianca Rotaru, Gheorghe Zărnescu, Mihai Sârbulescu, Tudor Haschke Marinescu, Marcel Lupșe and Laurentiu Mogoșanu.
“The residency is an opportunity for contemporary artists to share ideas and values, and for us, it is a joy to admire the results of these creative meetings, held over two editions, in the exhibition now hosted by the Art Museum in Iași”, says Andrei Apreotesei, manager of the “Moldova” National Museum Complex Iasi.

The opening will occur on Thursday, October 10, 2024, starting at 5:00 p.m., and the exhibition will be presented by the art critic Maria Bilașevschi, curator, and essayist Marius Manta.
“Tescani, the same welcoming place, which melts in a special alchemy the messages of those present, giving perhaps the most beautiful testimony that in a daily life often without effective landmarks, a lively, Socratic dialogue can still be established, reminiscent of the beautiful classic triptych -well-truth”, details the essayist Marius Manta.
