“Permanent World Encyclopedia” exhibition opening_ RESITA

Arta Prezentului, in partnership with Empower Artists, two innovative cultural platforms created to support and promote contemporary art in Romania, excitedly announced the inauguration of the “Permanent World Encyclopedia” exhibition, a far-reaching artistic manifestation, travelling in four important cities in the country.

The ‘Permanent World Encyclopedia’ exhibition, aiming to promote the young generation of artists nationally, is making its debut in Reșita. The opening will occur on Thursday, September 5, starting at 6:00 p.m., at Banatul Montan Museum in Reșita (Sălișteanu Hall) in the presence of the curator and the artists.

The exhibition is a unique convergence of the practices of eighteen young and emerging artists, each operating in diverse mediums. From the traditional stain of painting to the audio-visual formulas of artificial intelligence, the exhibition promises a rich and varied artistic experience. The title, inspired by the literary work of H.G. Wells, underscores the unique relationship that today’s artistic practices have with the vastness of encyclopedias.
In an interconnected world whose lexicographic story lies every day in our pockets a click away, new artistic practices seem to articulate in symbiosis with these systemically constructed spaces. Thus, the diversity suggested in this exhibition must be viewed in this key and assimilated in the form of a complex of personal encyclopedias that complement the global one
“, detailed Norbert Filep, the curator of the exhibition.

Meet the diverse group of artists behind the ‘Permanent World Encyclopedia’ exhibition: Roxana Ajder, Adrian Buda, Mihaela Coandă, Iulian Cristea, Călin Dumitrașcu, Iuliana Hlihor, Dariana Ilie, Andrei Ispas, Ana Lupu, Andreea Mihalka, David Miholcsa, Moga Dan Marius, Ada Muntean, Oana Năstăsache, Raluca Pavelescu, Iulia Pușcașu, Daniel Semenciuc, and Codruț Zele. Each brings a unique perspective and a fresh approach to contemporary art, promising a genuinely diverse and engaging exhibition.

The exhibition debuts at Banatul Montan Museum in Reșita, a city recognized for its active support in the field of culture. Here, the works of the eighteen Romanian artists will be exhibited for the first time, offering the local public the opportunity to discover contemporary works of art ranging from painting and graphics to sculpture, objects and new media.

From Reșita, the exhibition will continue to Craiova, where it will be presented in the new contemporary art space GLORIÆ Art Gallery. This elegant exhibition space, recently opened, will allow visitors to discover the works of the younger generation of artists.

The next destination will be Brașov Art Museum, where art lovers will explore the contemporary creations presented in the “Permanent World Encyclopedia” exhibition project.

The last show of the “Permanent World Encyclopedia” exhibition will take place in the heart of the capital, at the Amzei Creative Corner in Bucharest. In this welcoming exhibition space, people are invited to explore the richness and diversity of artistic practices.

Thus, “Permanent World Encyclopedia” supports the young generation of artists and brings contemporary art closer to people.
