On Valentine’s Day, Mobius Gallery & The Institute opened the group exhibition LOVE that brings together 11 contemporary artists and poets exploring the timeless theme of love. The event turned the heart of the city – Piața Amzei- into a territory where communities are invited to participate in a tender conversation on the subject.
“Who we are and who we become depends, in part, on whom we love.” – Thomas Lewis, A General Theory of Love.
Artists: Beatrice Arzoiu, Sasha Bandi, Suzana Dan, Andrei Gamarț, Claudia Larcher, Pandele Pandele, Norica Popescu, Lea Rasovszky, Gino Rubert, Roman Tolici, Ecaterina Vrana.
Throughout February, an international group of emerging and established artists engage with ideas of affection, tenderness, care, and empathy, encapsulating an indeterminate existence set between each other.
Alongside the exhibition, visitors have the opportunity to express love more personally. A special space within Piata Amzei is designated for visitors to write their love messages, allowing them to add a touch of intimacy to the public space and foster a sense of connection and community. Whether it’s a confession, a poetic verse, or a simple declaration of affection, each message contributes to the collective celebration of love.
The exhibition can be visited until February 29, 2024. Free entrance.
