Now reaching its tenth edition, the Open Doors event marks an important phase in the evolution of the independent artistic community gathered at Malmaison, strengthening the connection between artists, artist-run spaces, and the wider public.
The event is taking place on 8–9 November 2025, between 16:00 – 21:00, in the Malmaison building, 137C Calea Plevnei, Building B, 1st and 2nd floors, Bucharest.
If the previous edition was dedicated to the relationship between art and architecture, this year we focus on the motion picture, exploring various forms of visual expression: short film, video art, and video installation.
Organized every semester, Malmaison Open Doors remains a moment of openness and dialogue — an invitation to step into the artists’ work spaces, to see processes, sketches, and ongoing experiments, as well as to discover the exhibitions and projects of the galleries and artist-run spaces in the building.
Entry is free throughout the entire duration of the event. Visitors are welcome to join studio tours, discussions with artists, gallerists, and cultural managers, as well as a series of special events dedicated to the dialogue between art and the public.
