Arbor.art.room presents the personal exhibition of the young sculptor Iulian Cristea.
WILDERNESS, Surreal Landscapes by Iulian Cristea, brings together graphic designs, installations with ready-made components, and sculpture.
Artist Iulian Cristea explores an abandoned world, a world in which human presence is absent, a world populated by amorphous forms of organisms, bizarre to the human eye. The only signs of civilization appear in the form of abandoned buildings or objects.
His approach starts “from a line drawn on a small piece of paper, the image continues through multiple drawings, coagulating in a composition that includes all these instinctive fragments. The unknown into which the artist is launched at the moment of the beginning of the creative process is continuously fueled by emotions, suspense, and the surprise of the final achievement.

For the preparation of this exhibition, the artist was concerned with the quantification of imagination, filtering, and aesthetic abstraction of some metaphysical landscapes.
The incongruent compositions made by Iulian Cristea produce unsettling effects on the viewer. He is invited to research the mysterious landscapes, imagine a version of the unpopulated, abandoned Earth, and question the absence of man.” (fragment from the curatorial text)
