„The Cluj Collective”| Group Show at JD Malat Gallery from London

JD Malat Gallery in London inaugurates on Wednesday, April 10, the group exhibition “The Cluj Collective”, an event that brings together the works of seven Romanian artists, graduates of the University of Arts and Design in Cluj-Napoca.

United by their common educational background and passion for figurative painting, these artists bring with them a vast palette of influences, experiences and perspectives.
Each artwork invites viewers on a journey through the complexity of the human experience, exploring themes such as identity, nature, freedom, power, spirituality and reality.

Shaped by the experience of living in post-communist Romania, the artists make subtle and strong connections between history and the present. Among the participating artists are: Dragoș Bădiță (b. 1987), Oana Fărcaș (b. 1981), Botond Gagyi (b. 1992), Cristian Lapusan (b. 1976), Dan Maciuca (b. 1979), Marcel Rusu (b. 1989) and Cătălin Tăvală (b. 1996).

The exhibition is co-curated by the collector Cătălin Necula, who continuously seeks to enter the depth of Cluj’s artistic environment.

The exhibition will remain open until April 27, 2024.
