“The luminosity of the captivating artwork is about to explode into a spectacular visual feast, as we immerse ourselves into an expansive and thought-provoking universe.”
The “S O L A R” exhibition, signed by Adelina Gavrilă, proposes a visual extravaganza in a turbulent universe full of mysteries and contrasting emotions. Inspired by a variety of existential crises, both personal and global, as well as contradictory feelings and adaptive changes to extreme situations, this exhibition is a reflection of a turbulent contemporary world but also of individual efforts to find light and hope amidst the uncertainties of contemporary life.
At the heart of this artistic project lies the perspective of an optimist, who looks at the grim issues of the world with hopeful eyes and trust in a gentler future. In this context, the exhibition explores the concept of hedonism in an unconventional way, finding pleasure in ideas such as submission, survival, fear, and uncertainty. It is a search for joy and satisfaction amidst a reality that is often harsh and unpredictable.
Internal and external turbulence, refusal to accept maturity and responsibility, as well as social submission, toxic relationships, geopolitical tensions, the health crisis, and the devastating impact of the online environment on contemporary society – all these aspects are reflected in the “S O L A R” exhibition. However, the themes are bathed in an almost naive optimism and an unwavering belief that the experience of “living” is a miraculous opportunity.
Thus, each work is an invitation to contemplation and introspection, as well as to recognizing the beauty and value of life despite all obstacles and challenges. Ultimately, “S O L A R” is not just a painting exhibition, but also a celebration of life and the human capacity to find joy and understanding even in the most difficult circumstances.
