The traveling exhibition “Permanent World Encyclopedia,” a cultural effort to promote the young generation of artists at the national level, opened in Craiova and attracted an impressive number of visitors.
This unique cultural project, initiated by Arta Prezentului in partnership with the Empower Artists Magazine, continues to impress after a remarkable success in Reșita. Curated by Norbert Filep, the exhibition brings together the works of eighteen young and emerging artists, offering visitors diverse artistic practices, from painting to installations and audio-visual formulas generated by AI.
“We are happy to host the “Permanent World Encyclopedia” exhibition until the beginning of November, a project that coincides with the gallery’s goals and desire to promote authenticity and creative freedom. In the first days after the opening, we received over 700 visitors, including a visit from the mayor, who honored us with her presence. We are still waiting for the public to discover this project initiated and organized by Arta Prezentului in partnership with Empower Artists. Curator Norbert Filep made an excellent selection with the works of 18 young artists. Three of them, born in Craiova, are proud to exhibit for the first time in their hometown. We are pleased to see how GLORIÆ Art Gallery becomes a vibrant center on the national cultural map, a place where people come to connect, learn and inspire each other.”, Gloria Berceanu, founder of GLORIÆ Art Gallery.
Angela Izvercian, the project’s initiator, emphasized the importance of this approach: “The reactions of the visitors were extremely positive, which makes me extremely happy. The “Permanent World Encyclopedia” exhibition project succeeds in bringing together artists and art lovers, confirming the commitment assumed through the two cultural platforms, Arta Prezentului and Empower Artists, to connect the public with contemporary Romanian artists and to facilitate access to their creations. Contemporary art is accessible and, at the same time, valuable. I encourage the public to start a collection of their own, an endeavor full of meaning and satisfaction. Discovering art means curiosity and daring and can even be a way to discover ourselves. Regardless of taste, budget or experience, the exhibition offers the public a selection of carefully chosen works, highlighting the talent of Romanian artists.”
After Craiova, the exhibition will be presented at the Art Museum in Brașov, and the final exhibition will take place in the heart of the capital, at Amzei Creative Corner in Bucharest. “Permanent World Encyclopedia” thus becomes a cultural endeavor dedicated to supporting the new generation of artists and bringing the general public closer to contemporary art, which, at first, may seem intimidating and inaccessible, added Angela Izvercian.
