On Thursday, May 30, the contemporary art gallery GLORIÆ Art Gallery, located in the historic centre of Craiova, was inaugurated with the exhibition of the Italian artist Vincenzo Bianchi.
The exhibition, curated by Ruxandra Demetrescu, art historian and university professor, presents works using different artistic techniques, from painting and graphics to sculpture and objects.
The vernissage and opening of the gallery, was a unique opportunity to meet the artist and the curator.
GLORIÆ Art Gallery aims to promote local and national artists, young creatives and students of artistic faculties. It will be an open and welcoming space to meet, socialize, and discover art, stimulating the local art scene and repositioning the city on the national cultural map.
GLORIÆ Art Gallery has four exhibition rooms, a pavilion, and a garden. The upstairs spaces will host artistic residency programs aimed at supporting the new generation of creators and contributing to the development of the cultural environment at a local, national, and international level.
The gallery can be visited on Alexandru Macedonski Street, no. 49, Monday to Friday from 10:30 to 20:00, Saturday from 10:30 to 19:30, and closed on Sundays.
