During December 18, 2025 – January 31, 2026, at Galleria 28 in Timișoara, the exhibition “DOWN – BLACK AND UGLY, UP – LIGHT AND PLANTS IN THE SKY” can be visited.
“The objects on display are the result of an experience lived together on the rocky shore of the Black Sea, in Sinemorets, Bulgaria, on June 4, 2023 (Pentecost Sunday), by Ion Grigorescu, NOIMA (Ciprian Bodea, Cosmin Frunteș, Dan Gherman, Sorin Scurtulescu, Andrei Rosetti) and Ovidiu Ungureanu. A video installation, three-dimensional objects, painting, notes, drawing, photography and collage will recall the journey (on paths, through the rough sea of that day, crossing small bays or climbing rocks towards the flowering plateau on the edge of an oak forest) of an area, of a fragment of the world described thus by Ion Grigorescu in working dialogues: <<below the water bubbled in black puddles and limestones with black, slippery salt, and above, the cheerful, flowering weeds. Between the two worlds the man, unannounced guest, future builder who will occupy everything.>> The experience brought to life by this exhibition is due to the Voynov family – initiators and hosts of the 2023 Sinemorets meeting and Romană Gallery in Bucharest”, mentioned the organizers.
The exhibition can be visited until January 31, from Monday to Saturday by appointment.
