Galeria Romană is hosting, through February 27, the exhibition Continuum. Without Beginning, Without End, signed by Ecaterina Vertis.

This is the artist’s inner universe: a space of absolute freedom, where thought, love, and light intertwine in a continuous flow, without beginning or end, without borders, limits, or constraints, suggesting a profound state of freedom and inner harmony. Her paintings become a visual journal of the soul, a subtle and sincere dialogue with the viewer.
Ecaterina Vertis was born near the border between Romania and Moldova, in a picturesque region surrounded by centuries-old oak forests and unspoiled nature—elements that laid the foundation for her deep connection with art. Later, together with her family, she moved to Ukraine, where she successfully completed her schooling and earned a higher education degree. Destiny then led her to Armenia, where she began her professional career in the field of art.
Over the years, she has held numerous solo exhibitions in Armenia and abroad and has participated in prestigious art fairs, biennials, and other major cultural events. Inspired by her experience and her desire to contribute to the development of the arts, Ecaterina founded an art school from the ground up, which she successfully led, and later created and managed the largest gallery in Yerevan.
She has organized and coordinated numerous cultural events in collaboration with embassies and governmental institutions, as well as charitable projects dedicated to supporting children. These initiatives have become an essential part of her activity, strengthening the bond between art and society.
“The represented human presence is situated within a trans-temporal register, and the image asserts itself as a space of duration, an idea also supported by the exhibition’s title. Continuity lends the ensemble a coherence based on sedimentation and reprise, without demanding further explanation.
