On December 20th, the ACCELERATOR TODAY podcast was launched within the project “Accelerator. Mentoring and Production for Emerging Artists”.
The first episode, an animated dialogue between Andrei Breahnă, Accelerator project manager, and Ana-Ilinca Macri, cultural mediator, is an invitation to discover how and especially why Accelerator was created.
The two talk about the successes recorded so far and reveal part of the plans for 2023. They also present the projects of the Eastwards Prospectus Cultural Association implemented during the seven years of activity.
“The association Eastwards Prospectus was linked to the GAEP Gallery that I opened in 2014 and was the result of an immediate observation made upon my return from France, namely that we need to create mechanisms for understanding contemporary art and a context in which to have this conversation, and we need to do it proactively.” – adds Andrei Breahnă
The Accelerator Today podcast promotes an open dialogue on diverse topics – from the art market, the challenges and opportunities emerging artists have access to, art entrepreneurship, curating, or art in public space. Its purpose is to create that context for inspiring dialogues about contemporary art and to connect the public with artists, curators, cultural managers, and program partners.
The Accelerator Today podcast is produced under the umbrella of the Accelerator Program. Mentoring and Production for Emerging Artists financed by the SEE Grants 2014 – 2021 within the RO-CULTURE Program. The podcast is available on the Accelerator website and on the Spotify and Anchor platforms.
