Between October 4 and 6, at the Caro Hotel, over 20 immersive art installations created by artists from Romania and from various corners of the world were exhibited as part of the 5th edition of the RADAR Digital Art Festival.
RADAR, the largest multidisciplinary new media art festival, combines art with emerging technologies and nature. This edition has expanded the horizons of this field, bringing international artists from France, Poland, Denmark, Portugal, Hungary, Ukraine, and Bulgaria to the forefront.
This edition, built around the theme of Future Nature, offered a transformative experience through immersive art installations, where art and technology blended harmoniously, reshaping human interactions and perceptions of nature.
The festival also included digital artworks created by independent artists and studios from Romania.
The new media art installations that are exhibited use various interaction technologies, such as augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, artificial intelligence, video mapping, and interactive sensors, inviting the public to become active collaborators.
The artists at the festival encouraged the participants to reflect on the future of nature, not only as a physical environment but also as a dynamic force influencing habits, lifestyles and forms of entertainment.
The festival also included a section dedicated to children, RADAR Kids, where the little ones could interact with light and sound installations designed especially for them, made by artists from Romania and Denmark.
