“A starting point for a liminal encounter” is an interactive artistic installation created with the aim of exploring and highlighting the way we relate to the virtual space today, intimacy and entertainment, personal data and their processing. The audience acts directly on the work through a specially created application. In this sense, the subtle dialogue between real and virtual is highlighted by processing data from users’ phones in order to create personalized experiences. The movement of the phone, movement in space, crowding and location are the data that will be taken over to send signals to the work to create various vibrations. The sculptural form, to which two bass shakers that create the vibration are attached, represents only an aesthetic pretense whose starting point is the question: How easily do we give our consent to the processing of data for the purpose of entertainment?

The video projection consists of the real-time distribution of data that is processed at the time of the event in order to enhance the aesthetic side of the installation. The content is projected directly onto the sculptural form, the first element of which is covered with water to create different structures using vibration.
The extracted data will not be stored, archived, or processed in any way other than as presented above. At the end of the event, no information will be stored or distributed by the artist or third parties. The purpose of this artwork is to explore in an artistic, critical way how our privacy becomes a commodity.
The event takes place only on November 7, 2025, starting at 6:00 PM.
The artistic installation will be presented in partnership with Kunsthalle Bega, as part of the Out of the Box platform.
