Launched in September 2024, the travelling exhibition “Permanent World Encyclopedia” managed to connect thousands of visitors with the new generation of Romanian visitors, and now it was extended for the last time, until May 7, 2025.
“At the request of visitors, we decided to extend the “Permanent World Encyclopedia” exhibition until May 7. I want to thank the artists and organizers, Arta Prezentului and the Empower Art & Artists Association, for their openness and availability!” said Maria Lina, executive director of the Ilfoveanu & Badea Cultural Foundation.
“Permanent World Encyclopedia” brought to the forefront the works of 17 young and emerging artists, with diverse artistic practices, from painting and sculpture to digital art generated by artificial intelligence. Over the course of eight months, the exhibition was presented in five important cities – Reșița, Craiova, Brașov, Bucharest and now Pitești – appreciated by both the public and the artistic community.
“This initiative represented a significant step in strengthening the relationship between artists, museum institutions, art galleries and the general public. They were eight intense months, rich in valuable experiences. We met wonderful people who supported us with great generosity. We managed to consolidate our presence on the art scene, connect with diverse communities, who showed a special interest in the art of today, and create authentic connections.”, emphasized Angela Izvercian, the initiator of the project.
Curated by Norbert Filep, the exhibition presents a diversity of artistic perspectives and approaches, captured in the works of artists Roxana Ajder, Adrian Buda, Mihaela Coandă, Iulian Cristea, Călin Dumitrașcu, Iuliana Hlihor, Andrei Ispas, Ana Lupu, Andreea Mihalka, David Miholcsa, Moga Dan Marius, Ada Muntean, Oana Năstăsache, Raluca Pavelescu, Iulia Pușcașu, Daniel Semenciuc and Codruț Zele.
