“The fragility, uncertainty, malleability of memory and memories/ The desire of individuals, to the point of obsession, to archive and save the moments they consider important/ The concern not to remain suspended in one’s own existence in the absence of personal histories/ The Shadow the oblivion that dominates human existence from a given moment – All this represents UNSAVED HISTORY,” said Ciprian Paleologul about the latest group exhibition opened at the LABORNA gallery:
The exhibition “UNSAVED STORIES” opens as a space for reflection on the desire of individuals to archive and save the moments they consider essential, sometimes to the point of obsession. This exhibition brings together a diverse selection of invited artists: Matei Banea, Darian Ilie, Iulia Mirică, Ovidiu Morar, Ciprian Paleologu, Adrian Piorescu, Ana Eudochia Pop, Mihai Rusen, Matei Udriște and Simona Vilău. Under the guidance of curator Ciprian Paleologu, their works challenge us to meditate on the values of memory, the fragility of lived moments and the impact of forgetting on our identity.
The exhibition is open until October 21, 2024, at the LABORNA Gallery. Icoanei no. 17, Bucharest. Entry is free.
