About Atelierele Malmaison
Originally a military barracks, Atelierele Malmaison has significant historical significance and is 177 years old, during which time it has served various roles. Atelierele Malmaison aims to integrate the building into the living circuit of the city, inaugurating a new stage in its long history and occupying approximately 3000 sqm of the Malmaison building.

Through the efforts of the artistic community and with the support of the main sponsor UniCredit Bank, together with the sponsors Brico Depot, Policolor, Ursa, and The Plot, starting in 2021 the building was renovated, now hosting more than 30 artists’ studios, along with 9 spaces of projects coordinated by artistic groups, non-profit associations or art galleries.

Through this initiative, artists and gallerists have access to more accessible workspaces, to a more stable and sustainable cultural context by encouraging collaborations on a national and international level and supporting new generations who need a stable support structure.
