A new edition of Romanian Design Week takes place between May 12-28. The festival, a project of The Institute and UniCredit Bank, proposes for the 2023 edition the theme CONNECTIONS, which aims to connect the general public with the latest and most innovative local architecture and design projects.
For 17 days, the public will be able to visit a significant number of exhibitions and spaces where they can buy Romanian design products. At the same time, those interested will be able to participate in a series of workshops and parties.
This year, Romanian Design Week takes place around five important neighborhoods and historical areas of Bucharest: Cotroceni, Dorobanti-Floreasca, Ioanid-Icoanei, Piața Amzei and Cartierul Creativ, but Piața Amzei becomes the center of the Romanian design festival, with most of the events taking place here.

The exhibition presents 157 projects in architecture, interior design, graphic design, illustration, product design and fashion design. They are joined by 128 projects that will be detailed online on romaniandesignweek.ro, as part of the Best Practices digital archive, which the festival is launching with the 2023 edition.
RDW Expo is dedicated to the latest local architecture and design projects and attracted more than 430 entries, which were validated in a first stage by the RDW Community, formed by participants of the last call exhibition within the festival (2021 edition).
