THIS IS NOT AN ARTSPACE |INTERVENTION by ANA MARIA MICU at The Institute of the Present

The Institute of the Present continues the series of artistic interventions THIS IS NOT A SPACE, dedicated to the space in which the Institutul Prezentului operates, with the work of the artist Ana Maria Micu, which will be available for viewing in March. ANA MARIA MICU is a visual artist from Botoșani. She mainly paints, but occasionally explores other artistic mediums, such as drawing and animation. She uses as source ideas and images that she observes about changes in her living space, in which she works, or the negotiation of resources required by an ambition to garden in inappropriate conditions.

As part of the THIS IS NOT A SPACE initiative, the Institutul Prezentului proposes a series of actions carried out in its own workspace in Bucharest, which directs its attention to the present, starting from the way independent artistic platforms and artists choose to respond to the energies of a context in which activates.
THIS IS NOT A SPACE is thought of as an area of dialogue, of sharing individual and collective experiences that do not take place on the septic ground of the white cube, but in a 50 square meter workspace.
