The traveling exhibition “Permanent World Encyclopedia” has a new destination

After the success registered in four important cities in Romania, the traveling exhibition “Permanent World Encyclopedia” will arrive in Pitesti, continuing to connect the public with the art of the present. With a bold concept and a diverse selection of works that capture the richness of contemporary artistic practices, the exhibition is part of a more significant effort dedicated to promoting the new generation of artists at the national level, initiated by the cultural platforms Arta Prezentului and Empower Artists.

The “Permanent World Encyclopedia” exhibition will open on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, from 6:00 p.m., at the Ilfoveanu & Badea Cultural Foundation (Str. Armand Călinescu 2, Pitesti).

“The itinerant exhibition “Permanent World Encyclopedia” debuted last year, at the beginning of September, at Banatul Montan Museum in Reșita. After Resita, the next two destinations were Craiova, at GLORIÆ Art Gallery, and Brașov, at the Art Museum Brasov. Initially, the exhibition project was scheduled to end with a final exhibition in Bucharest. Still, after this series of successful exhibitions, which were appreciated by both specialists in the field and the general public, we are happy to bring the exhibition to Pitesti at Ilfoveanu & Badea Cultural Foundation. The extension of the exhibition route with a new city, which is important in the cultural landscape, confirms the relevance of our approach and contributes significantly to the promotion and support of Romanian contemporary art,” stated Angela Izvercian, the initiator of the project.

“We are delighted that the traveling exhibition “Permanent World Encyclopedia” is also coming to our gallery. As you well know, the mission of the Ilfoveanu & Badea Cultural Foundation is to be a space for artistic debate and dialogue by promoting contemporary art.
I congratulate the initiators of this wonderful project, Arta Prezentului and Empower Artists, for the fresh breath they bring by promoting these young and emerging artists, a project that we wholeheartedly support and which aligns perfectly with the values of our foundation”, said Maria Lina, executive director of the Ilfoveanu & Badea Cultural Foundation.

The seventeen young and emerging artists part of the “Permanent World Encyclopedia” exhibition project: Roxana Ajder, Adrian Buda, Mihaela Coandă, Iulian Cristea, Călin Dumitrascu, Iuliana Hlihor, Andrei Ispas, Ana Lupu, Andreea Mihalka, David Miholcsa, Moga Dan Marius, Ada Muntean, Oana Năstăsache, Raluca Pavelescu, Iulia Pușcașu, Daniel Semenciuc and Codruț Zele, are graduates of a faculty of arts, bachelor’s and master’s, being already active and visible on the local art scene. They work with various mediums, from painting to graphics, sculpture, participatory installations and digital art, exploring current topics in their own, easily recognizable manner.
