“The Sun in the Zenith Holds the Scales of the Day”. Group exhibition at Sector 1 Gallery

A new group exhibition has opened at the Sector 1 Gallery in Bucharest. Curated by Norbert Filep, the exhibition The Sun in the Zenith holds the Scales of the Day presents the works of eight contemporary female artists: Maria Brâneț, Ingrid Farcaș, Camilia Filipov, Lucia Ghegu, Alina Ion, Ana Ionescu, Diana Popuț, Ana Maria Szollosi.

“Wrapped in melancholy, introspection deepens the mystery of the self, oscillating between childhood memories and the empty silences of the end. Time is the invisible thread that connects all of this: under the blue dome, at the highest point, the sun becomes the enchanted secondary of this steady weighing.
From point to gesture, from on to off, the exhibition traces the naturalness of this temporal flow through eight artists who shape the great passage through a diversity of practices, leaving behind fragments and traces that make up their own search.”
Norbert Filep, curator

The exhibition is open until April 13, 2025. Admission is free.
