The exhibition POROUS MATTER. Void Fractions in Materials, Ideas, and Society, organized by the contemporary art gallery META Spațiu from Timișoara, represents a close collaboration between art and science, through which the artists – Floriama Cândea, Maria Castellanos, Cosmin Haiaș, Stahl Stenslie – worked closely with the scientists – Florin Drăgan (UPT), Alex Hansen (Porelab), Liviu Marșavina (UPT), Marcel Moura (Porelab), under the curatorial coordination of Mirela Stoeac-Vlăduți, deepened the concept of “porous matter”.

The exhibition represents a unique opportunity for interdisciplinary research, collaboration and experimentation, prompting visitors to question the permeability of structures, knowledge gaps and the social, ecological and technological implications arising from the concept of porous matter.

The exhibition POROUS MATTER can be visited until December 31, 2023.

In addition to the exhibition, META Spațiu runs a consistent program of events, which consists of film screenings and workshops for children and families.
