After 3 successful editions held in Bucharest, in cultural spaces such as the National Library of Romania, Arcub, the National History Museum of Romania, the Cotroceni National Museum, and many others, Romanian Jewelry Week will organize a special first edition in Timișoara.
Romanian Jewelry Week is the largest and most important event dedicated to contemporary jewelry in Romania.
Romanian Jewelry Week will present the creations of 40 invited designers and collectives from Romania and around the world in the special edition from Timisoara.
The public in Timisoara will have the opportunity to participate in an extensive program of exhibitions, guided tours, conferences, masterclasses and workshops dedicated to the field of jewelry as a distinct art form.
“The artistic side of jewelry is manifested both in independent designers and in creatives who become entrepreneurs. Jewelry and the creative act are, more than ever, a communication vehicle for changing ideas, for messages addressed to a world in intercommunication and connection. The creative industry, this extraordinary invention, is actually the decision of those trained to express themselves creatively and not stop with their message at the border between the world and their own workshop. Leonardo da Vinci’s idea of the world seen as an extension of the artist’s workshop becomes more present than ever”, David Sandu, Curator of Romanian Jewelry Week
The event will take place between June 30 and July 2, 2023 in the ISHO complex in Timisoara.
Event schedule:
Friday, June 30, 2023: 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m
