The opening of the group exhibition “Clouds & I Clouds” takes place this Thursday, August 4, starting at 6:30 p.m., at Senso Gallery in Bucharest. The event brings together the works of 15 visual artists with different artistic practices. Alexandru Claudiu Maxim, Augustin Răzvan Radu, Anca Boeriu, Beaver, Buzu, Denis Nanciu, Liliana Basarab, Maria Pop Timaru, Marian Cîmpeanu, Marian Codrea, Radu Carnariu, Raluca Ilaria Demetrescu, Robert Lörincz, Sergiu Chihaia, and Teodora Gavrilă are the artists who accepted the invitation to participate in a project that aims to “probe with the eyes (mind) the dawn of the sky, the soul or the cup, looking for clouds, of any kind .”

The guest curator of the exhibition, Raluca Ilaria Demetrescu, “offers us an eclectic selection of techniques and works in “Clouds & I Clouds”, a selection of course subjective, which in addition to the original association of images and representations also offers us a perspective on her artistic vision. Although the artistic-curatorial practice seems to be a relatively new hybrid, there is already specialized literature that attests and theorizes this professional juxtaposition, Alison Green’s «When Artists Curate: Contemporary Art and the Exhibition as Medium» being just one eloquent example in this sense. We are happy to open, through this large exhibition project, at the Senso Gallery, a series of collaborations with other invited curators, relevant to the contemporary art scene,” says Ana Daniela Sultana, curator of the Senso Gallery.

The exhibition can be visited until August 31 between 12:00 and 19:00. Through the lens of the visual, visitors will be able to explore the connection between the galactic clouds and those of the Internet and how man has transposed this natural phenomenon into a space of connection of all media information.
