On September 1, DIPLOMA and The Institute launch the fourth edition of Art in Progress, an exhibition project that promotes the new generation of artists.

The exhibition will be curated by architect and designer Iulian Bădărău, winner of the call for projects initiated by DIPLOMA & The Institute through which young curators are encouraged to turn their curatorial vision into reality.
Iulian Bădărău is the co-founder of STUDIOMASURA and part of the CUMULUS architecture office team. He is currently a Ph.D. student at the Doctoral School of Architecture within UAUIM.

“Intermedium” is the theme formulated by Iulian for the fourth edition of Art in Progress. Using elements from the virtual environment, he aims to obtain an intermediate dimension of the physical space in which the sensory experience is altered in a controlled way.

The project brings together 19 artists from the new generation. The artists invited to exhibit are: Arina Bican, Alina Madlen Bădeanu, Anca Vintilă Dragu, Beatrice Duman, Benjamin Bledea, Cătălina Cosma, Cristian Frone, Cristian Gabriel Vîrtej, Decebal Gabriel Țăroi, Elena Pîrvu, Elisa Tîrnoveanu, Ingrid Helena, Ioana Casapu, Irina Rădulescu, Octavia Chiru, Otto Constantin, Silvia Dobre, Silviana Rădulescu, Sînziana Coşoianu.

The opening takes place on September 1, starting at 18.00, at Spațiul The Institute located inside the Combinatul Fondului Plastic (29 Băiculeşti Street, Bucharest).
