From May 17 to 19, between 10:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., the inaugural IARMAROC in the Village/ IARMAROC la Sat – Festival of Creation and Arts will be held at the “Romulus Vuia” Ethnographic Park in Cluj-Napoca. This unique event brings together over 50 craftsmen, artists, and local creators, all of whom follow sustainable methods of production and creation.
Visitors will be able to admire how local creators create products for daily use and objects of art. At the same time, they will be able to buy handmade products created here in the country. The festival is a cultural project organized following the merger between IARMAROC.com and the Association for Artistic Innovation, with the support of the National Cultural Fund Administration.
“IARMAROC.com represents the image of a world where human creativity is more important than mass production, and creators can have a sustainable lifestyle based on their creations. We want to create a space where people come into direct contact with the creators and thus contribute to transmitting traditions and customs. We distance ourselves from mass production and focus on authentic, human-made products, unique in their imperfection. We support the transmission of traditions, and we want to bring you closer to the people who still pass them on from generation to generation”, declares Emilian Vasi, Founder of IARMAROC.com and Coordinator of IARMAROC La Sat.
The festival will take place in a natural setting designed to recreate the atmosphere of the classic Romanian village, but which has been adapted to our present needs. IARMAROC in the Village campaigns against mass consumption, unsustainable production and the consumption of unhealthy food and brings before the visitors the people who create objects of daily use, gourmet delicacies or works of art and who carry the traditions forward from generation to generation.
Festival organizers say they have prepared diverse activities for visitors of all ages, with more than fifty stands of producers from all over the country, to entirely acoustic concerts and art, creation and sustainability workshops.
