Collective Exhibition at Galateca Gallery: “I Walk the Line. We Walk the Spiral”

The collective exhibition “I Walk the Line. We Walk the Spiral” at Galateca Gallery presents the creations of four artists, members of the InSpirArt collective from the Republic of Moldova: Cristina Balan, Daciana, Olesea Muntean, and Yuliana Kilchevski.

I Walk the Line – is the title of a famous song written and performed by Johnny Cash. But when the creative energies converge, the line can go through a transformative process, evolving into the complex form of a spiral, with all the meanings it contains.

The spiral is also the connecting point of the artists gathered in the InSpirArt collective from the Republic of Moldova. Sometimes with strong symbolic meanings, sometimes more with aesthetic valences, in abstract representations, the works signed by the members of the collective create an artistic universe in which the spiral is omnipresent, evoking the idea of life and evolution in the most complex senses: from the primordial image – that of divinity and motherhood, to inner universes and outer manifestations, but also geometric shapes that are loaded with meanings through an evolutionary repetition.

The idea of development is not only manifested at the level of visual representation but also at the level of artistic collaborations between the collective members. This process of co-creation gives rise to works that unite different aesthetics, in a unitary, more complex whole.” (fragment from the presentation text)

As part of the exhibition, there is a silent auction for the work “Madonna”, signed by Cristina Balan and Olesea Muntean, all funds collected from the sale of this work will be transferred directly to the British charity Hospices of Hope Moldova for the palliative care of people with terminal illnesses and assistance to refugees from Ukraine.
