HEARING, SEEING, TOUCHING at LeiLei Gallery

The collective exhibition HEARING, SEEING, TOUCHING opens at LeiLei Gallery on Friday, March 21st, starting at 6:00 PM.

“The exhibition showcases artworks created through a variety of techniques, including painting, sculpture, textiles, ceramics, glass, 3D photography, and video. While each medium maintains its distinct character, their interplay generates a dynamic and complementary exchange. This interaction deepens the exploration of how we engage with our surroundings through multiple senses, enriching the overall artistic message.

Their juxtaposition not only highlights the contrasts between different materials and their unique expressive languages but also creates points of convergence where the inherent constraints of each artistic medium become more fluid. The visual discourse presented goes beyond a mere combination of techniques, forming an interconnected network of visual and conceptual relationships that open new perspectives on the artistic act.

The artworks on display address themes of significance for young artists, offering a contemporary perspective on reality. A key theme centers on our connection with the environment, seen both as a space for inner projections and as an invitation to reflect on the fragility of our ecosystem.
Another recurring theme is the Human Body, its transformations, along with the challenges and consequences they entail. This artistic perspective reveals explorations of identity and tensions arising from external pressures on physical form. Complementarily, the body is also examined in a broader sense, viewed through both the human and post-human lens.
In addition, the exhibition brings into focus the experiences of contemporary individuals: emotional states influenced by external pressures, whether societal, environmental, or personal.” (excerpt from the curatorial text)
