“Goddesses, Amazons, and Mothers.” A celebration of femininity at ICRNY

The Romanian Cultural Institute of New York (ICRNY) presents the group exhibition “Goddesses, Amazons and Mothers”, open to the public until April 12, 2024, at the “Brâncusi” Gallery of ICR New York.

The exhibition’s opening took place on March 8, on the occasion of International Women’s Day, celebrating in this way the role that women artists have in the history of art.
The exhibition, curated by Aida Balamaci, an international expert in cultural politics of Romanian and Austrian origin, brings to the center of attention seven artists from Europe, North America, Asia and Africa: in addition to the Romanian artists Hortensia Mi Kafchin and Ana-Maria Morar, the exhibition also exhibits Nana Afya (Ghana), Angela China (USA), Chiao-Han Chueh (Taiwan), Mariana Cromeyer (El Salvador) and Ekatherina Savtchenko (USA/Germany).
