SIMEZA Gallery (Gheorghe Magheru no. 20) hosts the group exhibition “Generations”, curated by Sidonius Ionescu. The exhibition presents works created by the artists Anca Boeriu, Mara Diaconu, Nicolae Alexi and Sidonius Ionescu.

“Generations is the exhibition that fulfils an ideal: the completion of the mission of the great trainers of personalities and the reunion with the fruit of their efforts. We are witnessing the opening of an exhibition that proves its uniqueness in the first place through the elevated circle of artists who compose it: the teachers and their former pupils and students.

Mara Diaconu, Nicolae Alexi, and Anca Boeriu, together with Sidonius Ionescu, the initiator and curator of the project, exhibit the pupil and the student who became, in turn, a teacher of values, like those who guided his steps towards the creation of the artistic ideal. Morphological expressiveness finds its highest manifestation in the penciling, modeling, engraving and painting of the human figure, of the being that has become in the compositional space a symbol for existence in matter, spirit, memory and in the mental frame.
