On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, starting at 7:00 PM, the opening of the exhibition by artist Nora Blaj, entitled “Fragile,” will take place at the Romană Gallery in Bucharest. The opening of the exhibition will be addressed by writer Florin Toma.

“I tell stories through color, especially about the bonds between people, be they of love or friendship, which are at the same time essential and vulnerable, deep and intense, but so influential and fragile. I put on canvas, as I can and feel, various emotional states, from moments of intimacy, love and deep connection, to feelings of loneliness, loss or emotional distance.
I want “Fragile” to be not only an exhibition about fragility in its classic sense but also a tribute to this invisible power that comes from being vulnerable. In the face of fragility, instead of giving in, let us do well to accept our limitations and imperfections, to confront what is deeper within us and to grow.”
Nora BLAJ

Nora Blaj graduated from the College of Fashion Design in Timișoara in 1993 and from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting department, in the class of Professor Romul Nuțiu in 2000. She is a member of the Union of Fine Artists of Romania and a member of the European Artists e.v. Association, based in Velbert, Germany. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Romania, Austria, Germany, the Netherlands, and Russia, and her works are in private and public collections throughout Europe, America, and Asia. She collaborates with several art galleries in several European cities and has participated in art fairs in Belgium, Austria, Italy, Germany and Romania. In 2020, Nora Blaj was decorated with the Order of Cultural Merit in the degree of Knight in the Fine Arts category. She lives and paints in Norwich, UK.

The exhibition will be open from Monday, April 18, 2025, to Friday, April 18, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Saturday from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
