The Galateea Contemporary Art Gallery at Calea Victoriei 132 opens on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 7:00 PM, the exhibition of artist Anca Vintilă Dragu, entitled “Fluid Boundaries”.

Anca Boeriu, the curator of the exhibition, reflecting on the curatorial approach, confesses: “I searched for the words to represent her, as an artist, as a woman, in Anca Vintilă Dragu’s works, but I couldn’t stop, I gathered a series that could go on: calm, tranquility, spirituality, openness, beauty, normality. Anca is one of those artists who, even without knowing her personally, reveals herself to you completely, without any hiding, through her ceramics. I have perhaps never met someone so directly, so beautifully close and expressed by her own works.

During this hectic period, we slowly enter the artist’s sanctuary full of peace and calm, which reveals to us a ritual of returning to personal space, to the stillness of the moment of gravity, to the state of grace, that rare and precious moment in which everything aligns, and the mind enters a state of floating, as Anca confesses. The visit to her creative universe transposes us into this world of peace, urges us to approach the structures of the works, to smoothly traverse them, from the figurative to the metaphorical forms that send us, for a second, to the expanse of waters, bring us near the sea, with its light, sound and smell, a second frozen in introspection and thus Anca’s searches, her feelings and questions, become ours too.”

The exhibition will be open from June 19 to July 15, 2025.
