Catinca Tăbăcaru Gallery presents a duo show by artists Ovidiu Toader and Justin Orvis Steimer, bringing together two distinct but complementary artistic practices, which propose a common reflection on materiality as a space for transformation and introspection. The public is invited to explore the dialogue between the concrete and the ephemeral, between the visible and the invisible.
Ovidiu Toader (b. 1991, Brașov) is a Romanian artist specialized in sculpture, drawing and immersive installations. A graduate of the National University of Arts in Bucharest, Toader was a scholarship holder of the “Young Talents” program of the Princess Margareta of Romania Foundation. His works have been exhibited in various locations, including at the Romanian Cultural Institute in Berlin, where he had his first international solo exhibition in 2024.
Justin Orvis Steimer is an American artist known for his intuitive and ritualistic approach to art. He uses reclaimed ship sails and hand-prepared pigments to create paintings that give form to invisible energies and subtle frequencies. This exhibition marks his first appearance in Romania.
The exhibition can be visited until June 21, 2025.
