Elite Art Gallery hosts the exhibition „Do not Crush the World’s Corolla of Lights”, by artists Adelina Gavrilă and Nadejda Lungu, curated by Roxana Diochețanu.

“When we are children, we ardently desire to become adults. However, childhood, an ephemerality that we blame, is essential for the following chapters that mark our existence. Moreover, every beginning starts from an end, and every end makes way for a new beginning.
„Do not Crush the World’s Corolla of Lights” means understanding this balance, respecting each stage of existence, without trying to rush or control it.

Artist Nadejda Lungu provides this approach, outlining the cycle of life and death as part of the same existential spiral. In a gesture that does not represent destruction, but transformation, the hands that give and take life, sketched by the artist, carry an inevitable passage through this cycle. Instead, for Adelina Gavrilă, the essential forces of existence are children themselves. In her works, they are not just symbols of the beginning. “By taking on a noble role, the artist creates a space in which children become visible, managing to face the tense reality of the adult world triumphantly,” said Roxana Diochețanu, curator of Elite Art Gallery.

Adelina Gavrilă (b. 1989) studied her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the National University of Arts in Bucharest, Painting Department. The artist explores provocative themes, her works bearing the tension between uncertainty and unwavering faith in the beauty of human experience.

Nadejda Lungu (b. 1988) completed her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the National University of Arts in Bucharest, Painting Department. Through her unmistakable brushstrokes, the artist suggests an emotional closeness in her works, urging the viewer to contemplate the body and human fragility.

The exhibition can be visited until March 28, 2025, from Monday to Friday, at Elite Art Gallery (Piața Națiunile Unite, no. 3-5), between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
