DIPLOMA Show becomes for the ninth time the meeting place and the point of launching and promoting new talents, in a unique event where artists can present their works to the general public and professionals in the artistic world in Romania.
DIPLOMA Show 2022 will take place this month between the 7th and 16th of October at Combinatul Fondului Plastic (Băiculeşti street, no. 29).
The 9th edition aims to offer a complete experience of contemporary art to the general public.
The DIPLOMA Show 2022 exhibition presents a complex creative universe that brings together the works of 128 Romanian artists, architects, and designers. The participating artistic projects were selected by a Creative Board made up of over 40 professionals from the creative industries. The works will be presented in 5 exhibition pavilions: Senate Gallery, The Institute Space, IOMO Gallery, ArtSafe Gallery, and ArtSafe-related spaces.
This year’s edition will have:
• a series of Workshops, conducted together with the team of the Architectural Association.
The series of architecture workshops are supported by Globalworth and aims to contribute to the education and understanding of the surrounding built environment, through analysis and observation exercises, using the projects of the architecture graduates found in the exhibition as landmarks and case studies in the process of acquiring basic knowledge of architecture and urban planning.
• OPEN DOORS, a recurring event at Combinatul Fondului Plastic, where the galleries that promote contemporary art and the studios of established artists working inside the building are open to the general public for an evening, will take place on Thursday, October 13th.
• Parties in the first and second weekends of the festival that bring together a mix of musical styles and DJs.
The courtyard of the space will be arranged by the team of architects and urban planners BAZA. We open the City and animated from October 7-9 and the Synesthesium installation presented by IQOS and the H3 studio, becoming a magnet for the interaction between the local artistic community and the public, as well as the party venue on the two weekends of the festival.
