In the Auditorium hall of the National Museum of Contemporary Art, the exhibition of the artist Felix Aftene from Iasi, Dali’s Mustache And Other Colors, is presented, a multidisciplinary collaboration with the writer Lucian Dan Teodorovici and with Andrei Cozlac (video), Paul Pintilie (music), Gabi Dimitriu (NFT).
“Dalí’s Mustache And Other Colors is a multidisciplinary project based on the direct collaboration between the artist Felix Aftene and the writer Lucian Dan Teodorovici. If, usually, the meeting of literature with the visual arts occurs starting from the text, later the contribution of the visual artist developing through the illustration of the literature, this project had a diametrically opposite approach, the literature “illustrating” the painting.
The 16 works made by Felix Aftene became a source of inspiration, a pretext for a story and, finally, an integral part of a novel by the writer Lucian Dan Teodorovici, Dalí’s Mustache and Other Colors (Polirom, 2020). They were later joined by video artist Andrei Cozlac, Blockchain consultant Gabi Dimitriu and composer Paul Pinitilie, demonstrating Felix Aftene’s interest in the interference and hybridization of artistic practices and environments, for the fusion of art and technology, while maintaining the strategy of cultural quotation. ” (fragment from the presentation text of the exhibition)
