Creative workshops in the “Permanent World Encyclopedia” exhibition – An opportunity for children from Reșița to connect with contemporary art and explore their creativity

Resita recently became the center of a special cultural event on the occasion of the opening of the “Permanent World Encyclopedia” art exhibition. This project, initiated by the cultural platforms Arta Prezentului and Empower Artists, brings together the works of eighteen young and emerging artists, emphasizing the diversity of artistic backgrounds. Hosted by Banatul Montan Museum, the exhibition was enthusiastically received by both the local public and the local press, highlighting the special importance of promoting young Romanian artists.

As part of this cultural initiative, the organizers continue stimulating creativity and involving the local community by organizing two free creative workshops for children, supported by the visual artist Livia Mateiaș. The workshops will take place on Tuesday, September 17, giving the children of Reșita the opportunity to explore the world of art in an interactive and creative way.

Angela Izvercian, the initiator of the project, emphasizes the benefits of creative workshops: “We are pleased to announce that the event was met with great interest, and the workshops led by Livia Mateiaș are an excellent opportunity for young people to discover the beauty of contemporary art.” Also, Livia Mateiaș mentioned the importance of these artistic education activities: “Through creative exploration, we acquire new tools of expression, and the benefits go far beyond the aesthetic dimension, having a significant emotional and therapeutic impact.

Details about the workshops
The two creative workshops will take place according to the following schedule:

  • Creative workshop 1: 12:00 – 14:00 (for ages 5-10)
  • Creative workshop 2: 15:00 – 17:00 (for ages 11-15)

Participation in these workshops is free, but registration is required, and places are limited to 25 people for each workshop. Those interested are invited to sign up by emailing contact@empowerartists.org, mentioning the child’s name and age.

In addition to the workshops, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition at 6 PM, an ideal opportunity to discover the exhibited works and better understand the messages conveyed by the young artists.

This initiative contributes to the cultural development of Reșița and underlines the essential role of art in forming young generations. Participation in such events enriches young people’s artistic experience and facilitates the community’s coagulation around cultural and artistic values.
