Solo Show Nicolae Comănescu: “The Great General Scheme of All Things. The Beginning”

August started with the opening of the exhibition “The Great General Scheme of All Things. The Beginning,” signed by the artist Nicolae Comănescu at /SAC (Berthelot 5).

The exhibition presents new works alongside the first series from the “Great General Scheme of All Things,” exhibited at Invitro Gallery Cluj in 2020.

The works will be presented cumulative from August to October in an exhibition 𝑖𝑛 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑔𝑟𝑒𝑠𝑠.

“In the present series entitled “The Great General Scheme of All Things,” escape is put into play by trying to understand a meta-real process that generates the real: the meaning created by accumulation. It is a practical-artistic expression of the Hegelian dictum “quantitative accumulations lead to qualitative leaps.” – Dan Popescu.

In the new series of works presented in the “Great General Scheme of All Things. The Beginning”, Nicolae Comănescu superimposes on support structures, volumes of color made of textile materials, clothes belonging to his relatives, over which he draws, with a white line, which preserves the unity at the level of the series, dynamic scenes with human characters.

The exhibition is open until October 12. Visiting days: Thursday-Saturday between 4-8 p.m.

The event is in partnership with H’art Gallery.
