“A Sentence with Four Wor(l)ds.” Group Exhibition at Biju Gallery

Biju Gallery presents the group exhibition “A Sentence with Four Wor(l)ds,” curated by Norbert Filep. The exhibition brings together works by artists Ingrid Farcaș, Vladiana Ghiulvessi, Miriam Farcaș, and Victoria Sadovnic, proposing a dialogue between four distinct artistic practices. These are brought together within a shared conceptual structure in which image, text, and language become tools for constructing meaning.

“The burden of expression becomes palpable when embodiment, in one form or another, fails to find the necessary means through which it can materialize into a coherence that unites the concrete world and the world of ideas into a single entity.

A multitude of formulas float within the mental space; knowledge of the world and the remnants of matter stored in the neuronal archive activate an extended sequence of operations in the search for the most appropriate mode of expression. Meaning reveals itself as the central element of communication. Here, reason actively participates in the shared play between logic and language.

Text merges with the idea through the image of letters—generators of sense and significance. Imagination becomes the process through which the curious reader deciphers the result of this interaction. The title assumes the same task, triggering the imaginative process through play, contemplation, and the construction of frameworks that articulate the exhibition’s overall logic. The term ‘sentence’ functions, in fact, as the skeleton of the exhibition: a framework that reconstructs the magical thinking of the image that underlies the four artistic practices brought together in A Sentence with Four Wor(l)ds.”

The exhibition can be visited until March 26, 2026.
