A New Art Safari Edition Starting from September

Although the first Art Safari season of 2022 has just ended, organizers are gearing up for the 10th edition, which will debut in autumn and will feature breathtaking landscapes!

Between September 23 and December 11, art consumers will be able to visit in the old center of the capital “the most valuable exhibition ever made in Romania, at all times” (Ioana Ciocan, general director of Art Safari), which includes works estimated at 100 million euros, brought to Art Safari Bucharest by the famous “Victoria & Albert Museum” – London.

The autumn-winter Art Safari edition will host five new exhibitions at the Dacia-Romania Palace, the future headquarters of the Bucharest Pinacoteca:

“Seeking Truth: The Art of John Constable” (A Victoria & Albert Exhibition – Touring the World), Curators: Dr Emily Knight and Katharine Martin. A resounding exhibition in which you will have the unique chance to see extremely valuable works signed by John Constable, as well as from his collection. The British artist is one of the greatest landscape painters of all time.

“Korean Beauty in Poster Art”. An exhibition by Byoungil Sun, made in partnership with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Romania. As it has a fresh contemporaneity, it will surely appeal to the growing young audiences of Art Safari.

“Stefan Popescu. Travel story” (curator: Dr. Elena Olariu), made in partnership with the Bucharest City Museum – Suțu Palace. Ștefan Popescu is one of the most appreciated traveling painters of Romanian art and a friend of Constantin Brâncuși.

“Lillian Theil. An old woman who smiles” (curator: Raluca Ilaria Demetrescu). In her artistic practice, Lilian Theil uses, instead of brush and pencil – the sewing needle. Embroider original works of art on textile support in the appliqué technique.

“Mihai Muresan. Small things” (curator: university professor Dr. Ioan Sbârciu) – an exhibition full of depth and emotion. An artist with a fascination for the exterior and interior landscape, Mihai Mureșan is part of the new generation of neo-realist painters trained at the painting school in Cluj.
