Art Machine is a vending machine that distributes original works of art in exchange for 10 lei, located in the Cărturesti bookstore in Park Lake Shopping Center. Each work is created by a contemporary Romanian artist.
Between January 12 and 26, Art Machine will distribute 100 original works, in limited edition, created by Daniel Loagăr, a visual artist who experiments with various artistic practices from painting, to photography, drawing and collage.
“The series of works “Prăbușitor”, prepared for Art Machine #41, is inspired, among other things, by the lyrics of the song “Chip” by the band Coma, more precisely by the line “Give us the courage to fall again”.
I have always been drawn to the experimental side of artistic creation, to the series of trials and failures that precede a personal discovery, during which I created a world of my own, which I called using a non-word, “Prăbușitor”.
The drawings in Art Machine are a collection of my interests, experiments and discoveries over a long period of time. I invite you to explore the unique landscape and inhabitants of this world and discover the beauty and strength that can be found in all these ups and downs. These designs are often small, no larger than a few centimeters, and are made in a wide range of artistic styles and techniques. Some of the designs are inspired by the Dada movement with their casual use of color and form. Others are exercises in texture, using a variety of media to create visual interest. Others are related to writing, using text and language as an integral part of the artwork.

Daniel Loagăr is the co-founder of the unconventional gallery Celula de Artă, the Wood Be Nice workshop and the artistic creation project NeoNlitic.
The Art Machine project, initiated by the artistic group Pastila Roz, encourages the healthy consumption of art by putting artists in direct contact with the general public. Art Machine creates a unique opportunity to purchase original artwork while providing exposure and financial support to the artists involved in the process.
