On Tuesday, November 1st, at 5 p.m., takes place the opening of the exhibition EVERY LIFE CONTRIBUTES TO HISTORY signed by Dragoș Neagoe and his guest, Ramona Guran, at the Filiala Alba Branch of Uniunea Artiștilor Plastici din România.
“Dragoș Neagoe digs, literally, in language. Its communication with the earth is what the human body has with its lungs. He seems aware that there is no quickening without movement. The power, the force in his works have an energy that fascinates but never reveals everything, a tension is born that transmits beyond matter, energy that floods you. Spirit in constant motion, fascinating and behaving like a double of his own. Rarely do you see in an artist such an intimate relationship with matter. Intimacy lurks with the hope that it will capture the immortal, the zero moment of reality, of representation.
The “pit” is not a tomb, as, instinctively, the sculptor tries to remove us from too close proximity to the “Pit”, but the maximum desire intertwined and inseparable from meaning. It is good to be on the alert, when we look at his works, that what we see and contemplate is only the reflection of the flames on the wall of the cave and not the fire itself. It constantly conceals and succeeds, and it seems that it puts all your information on the tray and gives you the feeling that you have the ground under your feet, and pulls the mat when you are more comfortable. How else to understand that from the “Pit” generating portraits are born from time to time trees? There is a hidden flavor in the play of the demiurge with the cloak of the magician. Directing is part of his creative arsenal. Incidentally, his guest in this exhibition, Ramona Guran is an intimate part of this own game. It is not the reference to undeniable landmarks that triggers the clear thought regarding his effort, nor the fleeting safety, but a certain purity of reporting, of intention, camouflaged admirably in humor and irony, but which, has not lost a second its original sharpness.” ( text written by Ana Pantea, visual artist and curator)
