Sandwich Gallery presents “Quiet Bonds. Stories from an Auditor”, an exhibition by artist Corina Dimitriu, on view between May 29 and September 20, 2026. The project marks the first art exhibition hosted within Deloitte Romania’s office spaces and proposes a dialogue between the professional environment and contemporary artistic practice.
The exhibition brings together paintings created by Corina Dimitriu over the past three years and is built around a dual biographical trajectory: the artist works simultaneously as a painter and an auditor. “Quiet Bonds. Stories from an Auditor” thus becomes the space where these two forms of attention — artistic and professional — intersect and engage in dialogue.
The works are organized into two distinct series. The first focuses on private life and explores seemingly ordinary moments such as sleep, rest, screen time, or recreation. Corina Dimitriu observes these everyday fragments without idealizing or dramatizing them, transforming them into images about presence and inner rhythm.
The second series shifts the same attentive gaze toward the corporate environment: meeting rooms, documents, moments of analysis and decision-making, or the repetitive gestures of administrative work. In her paintings, institutional bureaucracy is treated with the same sensitivity as intimate space, while the professional environment emerges as a territory of human relationships, vulnerability, and daily rituals.
Taken together, the works in “Quiet Bonds. Stories from an Auditor” propose a reflection on attention and on the ways time is experienced through small and repetitive gestures. The exhibition speaks about observation as a form of presence and about the possibility of discovering humanity within contexts often perceived as impersonal.
Corina Dimitriu was born in Iași and currently lives and works in Bucharest. She graduated from the Painting Department of the National University of Arts Bucharest in 2023 and completed her MA studies at the same institution in 2025. She has participated in exhibitions and artistic residencies in Romania and Germany, and in 2024 she was included in Artsted Magazine’s “99 Future Blue-chip Artists” list. “Quiet Bonds. Stories from an Auditor” marks her first solo exhibition in Romania.
Founded in Bucharest in 2016, Sandwich Gallery is one of the independent platforms active within the contemporary art scene, developing projects that explore the relationship between art, space, and community.
