Bucharest Design Festival 2026 officially opened in Bucharest, marking the launch of one of the most extensive editions dedicated to contemporary design and the creative industries in the capital. The festival takes place over four weeks and brings together exhibitions, vernissages, installations, conferences, and events hosted in multiple cultural spaces across the city.
The organizers propose an expanded program that explores the relationship between design, architecture, technology, and urban life, featuring established designers, international studios, and emerging creators. The 2026 edition places a strong emphasis on the city, sustainability, and new forms of visual expression.
The official opening took place in an exhibition space in Bucharest, where the public was able to discover the first installations and curated projects included in the festival program. The opening event brought together designers, architects, and representatives of the cultural sector, marking the beginning of a month dedicated to contemporary design.
