The RAD Art Fair for contemporary art, a major platform dedicated to contemporary art, dialogue, and new artistic perspectives, returns this week (April 23–26) for its fourth edition. The event takes place at Hotel CARO Bucharest, bringing together 31 galleries from Romania and abroad.
More than just a fair, RAD offers a complex program including exhibitions, curatorial interventions, performances, and meetings with artists and industry professionals. The public is invited to discover both established galleries and emerging initiatives in a dynamic, interdisciplinary setting.
A key highlight of this edition is the RAD Sculpture Park (April 16 – May 15, free admission), themed CO_LAC, curated by Alex Radu and Anne Marie Lolea. The exhibition brings together over 60 artists and more than 100 works installed in an outdoor setting on the shores of Lake Tei.
At the same time, RAD Design 2026 — Radical Domesticity, curated by Muromuro Studio (Ioana Chifu and Onar Stănescu), explores the contemporary domestic space, featuring 14 artists and designers.
The program is complemented by the RAD Curatorial Summit, which brings international curators such as Paul O’Neill, Job Piston, and Simon Njami to Bucharest, as well as RAD Pavilion, designed by AÉ02 Studio, which hosts performances and public programs throughout the fair.
RAD also extends beyond the main venue, activating the city through openings, brunches, and gallery tours, while inside CARO, areas such as La Vitrine, Glucoza Bar, and Wine Bar become spaces for relaxation and socializing, completing the visitor experience.
The full program is available here.
The fair opens to the public starting April 23, and tickets can be purchased online.
