“AMBIGUOUS, MR. BERNADÓ!” – Solo Show by Jordi Bernadó at 2/3 Gallery

The exhibition “AMBIGUOUS, MR. BERNADÓ!”, presented at 2/3 Gallery in Bucharest, brings together works by the artist Jordi Bernadó created over the past two decades, reflecting different stages and directions in his artistic practice.

The exhibition includes images produced in various contexts, from photographs taken in 2002 at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona to works created in Menorca (2006) and Berlin (2013). Alongside these, more recent images from the series Last & Lost (2022–2023) are also presented. This ongoing project documents territories shaped by ecological pressures, political fragility, and the technological imprint on the environment.

The photographs from the Last & Lost project introduce a subtle shift in the narrative possibilities of the exhibition. What binds these images is neither drama nor spectacle, but a particular kind of distance that defines both the artist’s position and that of the viewer. This distance creates a specific visuality through which the object of nature is contained and made accessible to perception.

The exhibition also marks the debut of the program “Photography as document. Metamorphic archives”, initiated by 2/3 Gallery and dedicated to exploring the photographic medium and the notion of the archive.

Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 6:00 PM, 2/3 Gallery will host a guided tour of the exhibition AMBIGUOUS, MR. BERNADÓ!, in the presence of Spanish artist Jordi Bernadó and curator Călina Coman.

The exhibition can be visited until March 22, 2026, from Wednesday to Friday between 16:00 and 19:00, and Saturday to Sunday between 12:00 and 17:00.
