The Cultural Association Empower Art & Artists announces the release of the second printed issue of Empower Artists Magazine, curated by Calin Man (reVoltaire). The new issue, titled “Digital Media & Hybrid Forms,” is dedicated to new media art in Romania.
The launch series begins in Timișoara, on Wednesday, 19 November 2025, from 18:00 to 19:30, at ISHO Riverside U1, and continues in Bucharest on Saturday, 22 November 2025, between 17:30 and 19:00, at MINA Museum (Str. George Constantinescu 2–4).
“Digital Media & Hybrid Forms” brings together articles, analyses, and dialogues that examine how digital media — from video art and net.art to 3D printing, algorithm-assisted sculpture, NFTs, and augmented reality — are redefining artistic materiality and cultural memory. The body, perception, and identity become territories of experimentation within hybrid contexts, while the fragility of digital media opens an essential conversation about the ephemeral archives of contemporaneity. The magazine also includes a series of interviews with artists and curators reflecting on the relationship between process and technology and on collaborations with AI.
Through this issue, Empower Artists Magazine proposes a cartography of emerging forms of expression that shape the Romanian and international art scene, outlining a landscape in which code becomes material, technology becomes a critical tool, and hybridity becomes a key to interpreting the present.
