Collage Festival returns in 2025 with its third edition

Collage Festival returns in 2025 with its third edition, taking place between October 24–26 at Green Hours in Bucharest, with free public access. This year’s theme, “The New 20’s,” invites both visual and theoretical reflection on the parallels between two defining decades: the 1920s and the 2020s.

“The 1920s exploded with Dada, Surrealism, Bauhaus, jazz, and sound cinema — a collage of new forms emerging from the ruins of war. Today, we are living through the ‘new 20s’ under the pressure of a pandemic, the rise of AI, ongoing conflicts, and visual oversaturation.
Collage still has the power to say ‘no’ and ‘otherwise.’ Cut, paste, and reconfigure the new 20s!” (press release)

Bucharest Collage Collective is part of a global movement that brings collage art to the public’s attention and supports artists dedicated to this expressive medium. The collective — composed of Ada Moisă, Andrei Stan, Cristiana Bucureci, Daniel Loagar, and Ruxandra Niculae — works through exhibitions, workshops, and festivals to engage audiences, support artistic practice, and affirm the relevance of collage in today’s cultural landscape.

Collage Festival 2025 is a project initiated by Bucharest Collage Collective, in partnership with Celula de Artă, and co-financed by the Administration of the National Cultural Fund (AFCN).
