“For two decades, a tradition has been formed in Miercurea Ciuc that is detached from the traditional. The international art camp, with each edition, records contemporary art initiatives aimed at offering the public the emotion of the place and the pulse of the present stripped of rigors and secrets. The professional experience of each participant enhances the fruitful interaction within the art workshop, ensuring the uniqueness of the event. The multitude of working techniques and the personal imprint of each artist manage to intertwine in a unitary way, translating the common effort through intercultural communication and exchange of ideas.
The binder that binds the exhibition discourse remains the abstract approach that manages to uncover nature in human figures that reveal their veiled forms, in signs loaded with content, in vibrant static compositions, in elaborate graphic drawings, in intense spots of color that spread on the canvas under the sign of coded messages and in minimalist geometric surfaces that are the subject of “open letters”. Dr. Ana Traci-Neagoe, art historian and critic
The exhibition will be open to the public from August 1-31, 2025, in the Trade Unions’ Culture House, Marble Hall, Piața Libertății No. 16, Miercurea-Ciuc.
The FREE Camp International Fine Arts Camp is a project organized by the Cultura Nostra Association in partnership with the Harghita County Cultural Center and the Harghita County Council with the support of the Miercurea Ciuc City Hall.
